Easter is a wonderful time of the year, especially for toddlers who are always excited to explore and learn new things.
It’s a great opportunity for parents to engage with their little ones and create lasting memories.
With that in mind, I’ve put together a list of fun and creative Easter toddler activities that are sure to delight both you and your child.
From decorating eggs to creating bunny crafts, these activities are easy to set up, inexpensive, and perfect for little hands.
So, whether you’re looking for indoor or outdoor activities, there’s something here for everyone.

Fun and Easy Easter Toddler Activities
1. Egg Painting
This has to be one of the most popular and most traditional Easter Toddler Activities, and for good reason.
All you’ll need are a few hard-boiled eggs, washable and toxic free paint, and of course, a mess suit!
Have a look in your local supermarket as well because they may have some white porcelain egg painting kits.
The one that I bought from Tesco already had the little paint pots included as well which are great!
2. Carrot Footprints
We had way too much fun with these!! Skye absolutely loved the bright colours and the sensory fun that came with painting the bottom of her feet.
We decided to include the whole family and even painted Dobby’s paws too.
You’ll need:
- Non toxic and washable paint
- Felt craft paper
- Messy Apron
- Glue

3. Egg Carton Bunnies
Start saving those empty egg cartons! These cute little bunnies are so simple to make and all you’ll need are:
- Egg cartons
- Felt tip pens
- Googly eyes
- Non-toxic paint
- Craft paper
- Tape
- Mini egg fillers
Once finished, they can be filled with a few Easter treats of your choice. Just be careful of mini eggs and keep an eye on younger kids while they’re eating theirs.
4. Paper Plate Crafts
There are so many ways to get creative with these! You can makes Easter eggs, bunnies, daisies, or anything else that is Easter themed.
All you’ll need is some no toxic paint, craft paper, and of course, paper plates!
There are many cute designs that you can download or templates that you can print and cut out.
5. Easter Themed Play Basket
Themed baskets are like little treasure chests.
You can get many great ideas of what to stuff yours with and here’s what I added to mine:
- Bunny teddy
- 2 x Easter Books
- Egg painting kit
- Mini bunnies and chicks

6. Paper Strip Easter Egg
This is a craft worth adding to the annual Easter decorations.
Have some fun with these by making them bold and colourful or soft and pastel. Why not go a step further and try an ombre egg?
There are so many fun ways to make these.
Remember to add to a nice frame of your choice and hang it up for the many Easter’s still to come.
7. Easter Wreath
With so many beautiful designs, this is a craft that both toddlers and parents will love.
This simple paper wreath is perfect for last minute crafting and you’ll likely already have all the crafts pieces laying around the house.
All you’ll need is coloured card paper, glue, a paper plate and some ribbon. Easy peesy!
8. Easter Egg Scoop
It’s time to put your toddlers’ fine motor skills to the test with this super fun Egg Scoop activity.
All you’ll need is a big tub of water, some empty Easter eggs and a few kitchen utensils that can be used to fish them out.
You should already have most of these on hand so happy fishing!
I would recommend doing this outside (weather permitting), but if not, make sure you get a messy mat for any water spills.

9. Potato Egg Stamps
My little one recently did this activity at her nursery and she absolutely loved it! It’s super simple to put together, all you need are some potatoes and paint.
Carve out some fun designs and get stamping.
I will warn you though that it’s very likely that you’ll end up with stamps on every clean and open surface in your home so make sure the paint is washable…
All of these Easter activities are simple, easy, inexpensive and most importantly, FUN!
It’s time to get silly, get messy and get involved with your little ones.
